Macclesfield Barnaby Parade

29 June 2010

Sixty six Terra Nova pupils ranging from Year 2 up to Year 8 took part in the Barnaby Parade in Macclesfield on Saturday 19th June. The theme was 'Made in Macc' and the children were watched and cheered by hundreds of onlookers as they passed through the town centre.

Each year group designed costumes and head dresses based on a theme. We had children dressed as trees to represent Macclesfield Forest, in blue and white to represent the Football Club, we had hats in the shape of canal barges and costumes in the shape of the planets and Jodrell Bank. It was a wonderful experience and the children thoroughly enjoyed making their hats and costumes in Art and DT.
