Bursaries enable the School to offer an exceptional educational experience to children who otherwise would be unable, for financial reasons, to come to Terra Nova.
In recent years the School has provided a number of bursaries for deserving children from its own resources, but it cannot continue to meet the demand alone.
Nigel Johnson has asked that his Retirement Appeal should be directed towards the provision of more bursaries. They would be available for talented children in local schools who could not otherwise come here, and for gifted children already here that would otherwise have to leave because of the financial circumstances of their parents.
The new Head, Andrew Lewin, is equally enthusiastic about the Headmaster's suggestion and the initiative is warmly supported by Governors.
"One of the finest gifts an outstanding school can provide to its surrounding community is to be able to offer an exceptional education to children who could otherwise not benefit from it."
"Terra Nova has a proud tradition of nurturing and developing its children to become respected and contributing individuals, academically well grounded and with a sense of their responsibilities to our wider society."
Terra Nova is a charity and it provides bursaries as part of its own wider responsibilities to parents, to the local community and to society. Please help us to do better what we already do ourselves.
We ask you to consider contributing generously to this appeal.
