At Terra Nova, we aim to develop a love for the English language in all its literary and non-literary forms. We encourage all children to develop skills that will help them to communicate effectively in speech and writing, to listen with understanding and to be responsive, enthusiastic and knowledgeable readers. A wide selection of books is available in our library and children are encouraged to develop a love of reading from an early age.
Our first class English department delivers an exciting curriculum, covering everything from comprehension, handwriting, poetry, spelling, grammar, punctuation, composition and literature study.
Pupils are fully prepared for their common entrance exams, scholarships and other entrance examinations at both 11+ and 13+.
