Terra Nova is a co-educational preparatory school for children aged 3 to 11 or 13, based in the heart of Cheshire. We teach a wide range of subjects in small classes, combining our solid academic grounding with a full programme of cultural and sporting activities, helping children to mature into confident, successful, sensitive individuals.
We maintain a flexible approach to education. Students are encouraged to focus on their strengths and to take the opportunities to work on any weaknesses. We give children their chance to shine, offering guidance on their unique talents, from history to horse riding.
Our flexibility is reflected in our options for boarding. We offer full time boarding for older pupils, with bright airy bedrooms and fun filled weekends to help create a real home away from home. Or for children from busy families, we also offer flexi-boarding, where students can choose to stay a night or a couple of nights a week. We also offer several collection times for day pupils; because it's crucial your child's school day fits in with your own busy timetable.
New to the school? Prospective students and parents can find out more here.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new Headmaster. Andrew Lewin, Head of Bramcote School in Scarborough, will take over in September next year following the retirement of Nigel Johnson.
