The Mathematics department aims to develop a positive attitude towards mathematics, increasing competence and confidence in mathematical knowledge, concepts and skills. Pupils should be able to use and apply mathematics across the curriculum and in real life.
Classes are extremely varied in delivery and cover a whole range of topics including number bonds, place value, shape and space, data handling and algebra. Regular department trips are organised and pupils have the opportunity to take part in a number of national Maths Challenges.
