Music is enjoyed and celebrated at Terra Nova. All of the children are taught Music as part of their curriculum. They are encouraged to take advantage of the professional, individual Music tuition which is available across a broad range of instruments. They also have the opportunity to join one of our four choirs and our orchestra.
Children relish the opportunity to perform and this is whole-heartedly encouraged at many different levels. Concerts are organised throughout the School year and are a wonderful experience for all the children.
Every pupil is involved in Drama. Children have the chance to be on stage, at least once every year. Our Head of Drama and Director of Music, along with other staff, combine their skills to lead spectacular productions. We produce fabulous scenery, props, make-up and constumes and are able to stage impressive and lively performances.
We enjoy collective and individual success in Music and Drama at the Alderley Edge Festival and some of our pupils have also been selected for The National Youth Choir.
